“Welcome to the Water”

Discover Boating Canada has announced an updated online "Welcome to the Water" event kit that will kick-off this summer. The program helps industry stakeholders host their own event to help welcome more people to the boating lifestyle with special “Welcome to the Water” promotional materials.

These materials are designed to add on to your existing events such as Customer Appreciation Days, Open House BBQs, Yacht Club Social Events, and so on.   It's up to you whether you adapt your events to feature your boats or use your customers' boats to create a social event on the water.   You can use our event checklist as a starting point and add your own activities to your Welcome to the Water event.   We suggest anything from hands-on training and boater education, safety and skills seminars and obviously opportunities for those non-boaters to spend some time meeting other boaters and experiencing life on the water at your event.

Those who wish to create a “Welcome to the Water” event can access and customize a variety of online event templates that have been designed so that industry stakeholders are able to easily download templates, add their own company logos and event details to promote their event.

Be sure to get your event listed for free on DiscoverBoating.ca/WelcometotheWater.   Please email [email protected] for details.
